“We are discussing no small matter, but how we ought to live” - Plato through the interlocutor Socrates in The Repubic (390B.C)

In this course we examine a variety of ethical theories-theories that purport to tell us how to act in morally appropriate ways-and apply them to issues such as abortion, homosexuality, and world hunger. The goal of this course is to enable the student to critically reflect on their own moral actions, as well as the actions of others.
